  Rodin, Auguste [born François-Auguste-René Rodin; 12 November 1840 - 17 November 1917]. French artist, most famous as a sculptor & the preeminent French sculptor of his time, and remains one of the few sculptors widely recognized outside the visual arts community; creator of THE KISS [1886] & THE THINKER [1879-1889] two of the most recognized works in all of sculpture. Undated 7" x 9" ALS [1/2 page, 16 mo., n.d.] in fine condition: In French - Addressed to 'Mon cher ami' - 'My dear fiend' - asking to be given a few more days "so that I am a little less buried in my problems." He suggests meeting on Thursday afternoon, Boulivard of Italy. "We can get together and talk about our business." Signed 'Amitié de votre' - 'In friendship' / A. Rodin". Framed & glazed with an artistic photo print portrait of Rodin as background to an overall size of 12" x 17" 1/2. Double matted in an elegant dark brown toned & brushed wood frame.  $2100
